Grants

Since beginning grant-making activities in 2005, we have awarded over $10 million in grants under our Community Grants Program to selected organizations around the state; committed over $10 million to fund Achieving the Dream: Community Colleges Count; committed nearly $10 million to a College Readiness Initiative involving AVID and Navigation 101, and committed $1.7 million to theWashBoard.org, a free, web-based scholarship clearinghouse.

Our grantees support college access and success for low-income students in Washington state.

We encourage proposals:

  •  from communities throughout the state
  •  that utilize partnerships or shared resources
  •  with programs grounded in research-based methods
  •  that have measurable outcomes

If you are planning on applying for a grant, we encourage you to read over these Tips for Competitive Grant Applications.
