Mary Beth Lambert, Communications Officer
Mary Beth is College Spark's Communications Officer. She develops and implements the strategic direction for College Spark’s communications and advocacy. Mary Beth is also responsible for the marketing and outreach of theWashBoard.org.
Before and Beyond College Spark
Mary Beth joined College Spark Washington in 2011 with over 15 years experience working to reform education in Washington State. She has worked with a variety of organizations including the University of Washington, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Partnership for Learning. Early in her career, Mary Beth worked in Washington, D.C., catalyzing the political community inside the beltway to support pro-choice women candidates and facilitating policy conversations with elected and appointed women officials. Mary Beth started her career as a suburban newspaper reporter in Cincinnati, Ohio. She earned her Masters in Public Administration from the UW Evans School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University.
When she’s not working, Mary Beth spends her free time driving her daughters to all sorts of activities and riding long distances on her bike. Mary Beth is a board member of the Ballard Food Bank.
